Il tucano dal becco verde, chiamato anche tucano pettorosso, Ramphastos dicolorus, è la specie più piccola fra i grandi tucani del genere Ramphastos (lunghezza 42-48 cm). Vive nelle foreste tropicali delle aree montane e collinari nel sud del Brasile, in Paraguay e all'estremo nord dell'Argentina, meno frequente nei boschi di pianura e nelle savane. Caratterizzato dal becco verde, pelle orbitale rossa e petto arancione. Il piumaggio è simile nei due sessi. Come i suoi congeneri si nutre prevalentemente di frutta ma talvolta preda insetti e piccoli uccelli. È aggressivo nei confronti del tucanetto zafferano con cui condivide l'habitat. Stato di conservazione: rischio minimo (LC).
