Beautiful composition even if the bottom is devoid of details and the area where you see the lights of the cars on the right loses a bit 'sense.
My feeling is that the maf is not correct, I see the trees in the lower fire but the lights farther blurry, maybe it's just the limit of the optics.

Beppe Hello, first of all thank you for the many comments that you always do to my photos. In this case, I do not know if the fire is an error or a problem with my equipment because that night I made a lot of shots and had the same problem. In a photo like this, in your opinion, what is the best place to focus? Infinite? Promontory with the lights?

I think in a case like this the focus on the cape nearest to ensure the focus of the whole scene at f/11, to tell the truth I think that with the closure of the diaphragm there should be no problems even if you adjust focus or infinite trees down, unless the latter are closer than you think.
If the problems of sharpness in the distance of this photo are due to the focus then it means that you have set the maf closer to the trees.
However, it could be a problem of optics, I know that that makes the best lens at f / 8 and then degrades significantly, maybe your car has a problem especially if you say you've noticed the same defect in other photos.

I suggest you do some tests landscapes focusing at infinity or on mountains or elements much away, just to make sure.
Check it out at f / 4 and f / 8, f/14, and then see the results.

Of course, in a picture like this I would use the live view and manual maf, remember to disconnect the stabilizer when you have the camera on a tripod, could do tricks and give you back a problem like this.
