# Mountains ** Su questa parete nel 1880 rinunciarono alla prima salita F.A.Mummery e la grande guida A.Burgener ,lasciando un biglietto in una bottiglia che diceva : "impossible, by fair means" (impossibile con mezzi leali..) In effetti il Dente fu salito anni dopo usando tutta una serie di mezzi artificiali, e anche ai giorni nostri ,senza usare le corde fisse , occorrerebbe superare passaggi di 5° grado a 4000m. con gli scarponi, non proprio banale... Frederick Albert Mummery scomparve sul Nanga Parbat (8125 m.) dopo aver superato lo sperone che porta ancora il suo nome... Nel 1895, un tentativo assolutamente fuori dal tempo..
