Un giorno di qualche anno fà, nel mese di maggio ho deciso di recarmi sull'isola di Skomer per fotografare i pulcinella. C'ero stato alcuni anni prima durante le vacanze estive con la famiglia. Ma a fine luglio l'isola brulica di turisti mentre gli uccelli in questione hanno già preso il volo per l'oceano in compagnìa della prole messa al mondo proprio su quelle scogliere.Solo qualche coniglio selvatico, gabbiani ed otarie.Tre giorni dunque: uno per arrivare in una località sulla costa, il successivo da spendere tutto sull'isola a fare fotografie, il terzo per tornare a casa. Sempre a patto che le previsioni del servizio meteo locale fossero azzeccate. Da quelle parti in primavera chi lo può sapere? In caso di maltempo il battello in servizio dal porticciolo di fronte all'isola nemmeno garantisce la partenza. La sera prima una leggera pioggia al mio arrivo. Il mattino successivo al risveglio un bel cielo azzurro. Mi attendeva una bella giornata in compagnìa della mia macchina fotografica.

Last year I went to Wales on the island of Skomer to see them... of July there were thousands of August not even one. that fades. although this islet is really beautiful. i have a picture on my gallery
