La Fiat 8V… conosciuta come “Ottovu”… fu prodotta nel triennio 1952-54 nella sola versione Berlinetta nello stabilimento Sezione Carrozzerie Speciali della Fiat. Di "Ottovu" ne verranno costruite 114 (una con la carrozzeria in fibra di vetro) mentre alcune decine di telai e propulsori verranno acquistati da Carrozzerie esterne alla Fiat per farne delle versioni esclusive in pochissimi esemplari. Altri propulsori del primo tipo furono costruiti per essere destinati alla motorizzazione della 208 Sport Spider prodotta dalla Siata di Giorgio Ambrosini. Nela fotografia qui visibile si può vedere una delle versioni Coupé allestite dalla Carrozzeria di Ugo (padre) ed Elio (figlio) Zagato in Milano. .. che fotografai nottetempo con l'ausilio di un lampeggiatore Nikon SB-800.
