Il bosco di Zaro si trova nel versante nord-occidentale dell'isola, al confine tra i due comuni di Forio, cui geograficamente appartiene, e Lacco Ameno. Migliaia di metri quadri di macchia mediterranea con alcuni degli scorci panoramici più belli dell'isola d'Ischia, a cominciare dal belvedere intitolato al fondatore dell'Opus Dei Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer da cui si scorge la spiaggia di San Francesco di Paola e il centro di Forio.
