Valle d'Aosta novembre 2020 - Meteorologicamente il mese di novembre non è partito benissimo, sole e temperature miti la fanno da padrone; sui versanti esposti a nord, a 2400 metri ,resistono circa 15/20 cm di neve. Sono alla ricerca delle pernici, binocolando ne ho viste un paio nei pressi di una pietraia. L'avvicinamento è lento, mi accorgo che sulla neve ci sono labirinti di impronte moltissime sono di pernice, qualche forcello e poi lei; le impronte della variabile. Penso "chissà dov'è, non sarò mai così fortunato, la neve è vecchia e le impronte recenti non si vedono, cercarla è impossibile". Giunto ad un centinaio di metri della pietraia poso lo zaino ed inizio ad avvicinarmi; percorsa qualche decina di metri noto una presenza nei pressi di un masso. La lepre si trova a meno di una decina di metri da me, per fortuna non è scappata. Faccio qualche scatto e mi allontano nuovamente verso lo zaino per recuperare il 70-200. Lentamente mi avvicino, con grande sollievo la trovo ancora lì. Mi da tutto il tempo di scattare ambientandola nel suo bellissimo mondo di neve e rocce. Questo è uno scatto con il 500 che secondo me coglie molto bene il carattere schivo di questo splendido animale.
