Sei un osservatore acuto e attento, Fabio!
Per penetrare il significato dell'opera, probabilmente dovremo partire dal Programma del Futurismo: "Tutto si muove, tutto corre, tutto volge al rapido" e soprattutto da una riflessione dello stesso Balla del 1915"Troveremo degli equivalenti astratti di tutte le forme e di tutti gli elementi dell'Universo, poi li combineremo insieme, secondo i capricci della nostra ispirazione, per formare dei complessi plastici che metteremo insieme".
Tutti questi elementi, probabilmente sono presenti nell'opera, che denota nel contempo una cultura umanista (il teschio) ed una scientifica (cardioidi).
Poi la velocità di accelerazione è stata troppo veemente e ha prodotto nella società e nella politica un'ebbrezza che se controllata poteva essere salvifica e che invece ci ha portato dritti ad una rovinosa catastrofe bellica.
