Siamo in Guatemala, Centro America (precisamente sul bordo di uno dei tanti burroni che attraversano la scomposta e caotica capitale Città del Guatemala) e questa Ghiandaia Cespugliosa è intenta a mangiare una nespola matura. È una delle primissime foto scattate con il Sigma 60-600 mm f/4.5-6-3 Sports appena ricevuto in regalo, abbinato alla ormai "vecchia" compagna di avventure, la Nikon D810. Devo dire che sono favorevolmente colpito dalla nitidezza a 600 mm (con cui ho scattato la foto) e anche il contrasto e la resa cromatica non è niente male. Non ho dovuto fare nessuna correzione in post-produzione, ma solo un crop di circa il 30%. Un'altra caratteristica davvero buona è la velocità dell'autofocus che, confrontato con quello del Nikon 200-500 mm f/5.6 che possiedo, risulta ad un livello decisamente superiore. Una prima pecca che ho riscontrato nel Sigma è l'impossibilità di rimuovere il collarino per il treppiede, il che rende la maneggiabilità dell'obiettivo molto meno agile e aggiunge comunque ulteriore peso quando si fotografa a mano libera, come sono abituato a fare io.
