Fu così che mi resi conto, in cima a quella montagna con quegli scorci mozzafiato, che quello che rendeva migliori le mie foto, che gli dava un valore ed una ragione d'essere era la storia che ci stava dietro. Non mi bastava più la natura... maestosa, infinita, quando pacifica e quando terrificante... rimaneva comunque troppo asettica. La natura non soffre, non ride, non piange, non si arrabbia... la natura semplicemente esiste a discapito di tutto. Ma su quella tela gli esseri umani intrecciano le loro vite, sgomitano e si divincolano con forza, si lasciano andare, creano e distruggono, cercano risposte e si fanno domande... semplicemente vivono nel modo in cui credono o possono, per qualche attimo così breve da essere limitante ed al tempo stesso è proprio quel che gli dà tutto il suo significato. Lassù per la prima volta ho guardato al mondo degli uomini e, seppur non sia riuscito a capirlo neanche un pò, ho capito che mi interessava più di tutto il resto.
