I'm carrying the rescue... You never know... sent on October 28, 2020 (10:26) by Alberto Gaddi. 43 comments, 748 views. [retina]

Classy cars, daughters of a lost time. I had the opportunity to drive a brilliant 2200 TC many years ago, it was also very well finished, with leather interiors and, if I remember correctly, equipped with overdrive.
I understand the memory....

Thank you Paolo :-), mine was a more modest GSI 1400, (derived from the Honda Concerto), scrapped back in 2005.
Egregie interior finishes in velvet and briar did not correspond, however, to the rather poor mechanical qualities of the vehicle... so much so that the Rover before disappearing was acquired by BMW at the symbolic price of 1€...
A very cordial greeting and a good day

A bit of nostalgia for a car brand with a not-so-lucky history.
Get the caption, which I really enjoyed. I'll add a little note. The stern thus made has remained a tradition on many boats. It is called the Norwegian stern and has the characteristic of "cutting" the sea at the onset of aft waves. Now much less used, it was typical of many recreational sailboats made by Norwegian shipyards.

Thank you Gabbia65 :-) , I did not know about the name "Norwegian stern" still in use.
Dei drakkar impressed me with the slender and alters elegance of the shapes combined with the functionality of the boat.
A very cordial greeting and a good day

So with the wind in the stern but also in the bow , if I am not mistaken the descendants of the Vikings then conquered England , what did not all succeed , to think about it I could have kept and framed the Fiat symbol of my 128 , perhaps not beautiful , indeed certainly , like yours of the ROVER , but still full of memories
cordially
Beppe

Thank you Giuseppe :-) , at the time I was sorry to have to scrap it but you could no longer find the spare parts of which had recently become gluttonous (radiator, mmicler, engine supports and more...), also no air conditioner, power steering and a rough mooolto road hold :-(
A very cordial greeting and a good evening

Interesting caption, nice memory and idea to frame your car logo.
I went to see the meanings of the symbols of some car brands because of your description and image. I never thought about it.
Bel story and nice photo.
I'm a good weekend.

Thanks again Lory, the Rover after many financial vicissitudes no longer exists, it was considered the car for those who would have liked a Jaguar but could not afford it.
I'm thank you again and have a good day
