Highly Commended - GDT Wildlife Photographer of the Year ; una foto risalente all'estate 2019 che ha appena ricevuto una menzione d'onore al rinomato concorso che ho menzionato sopra. Innumerevoli fotografi (me compreso) si riversano nelle Dolomiti a caccia di tramonti infuocati, montagne maestose e atmosfere incredibili.. In molti però, abbagliati da quelle bellissime montagne, non notano la miriade di boschi sottostanti, che a mio modestissimo parere regalano scene degne di esser fotografare tanto quanto le vedute più famose. Fotografare in un bosco non è mai facile, ne qui ne in nessun altro luogo, in quanto l'assenza di un soggetto principale, forte, che si distacca da tutto il resto rende facile creare scatti troppo caotici. Qui ho cercato di mantenere la scena il più semplice possibile, con la tipica fioritura di inizio estate dei rododendri protagonista, illuminata dalla prima luce del mattino e circondata da quei boschi di conifere ai miei occhi davvero meravigliosi.
