Excellent, too bad for some parts of the wings, poor PDC due to focal.
How come the passage of denoise for an iso 1000 shot? :-o Theoretically you wouldn't need to unless you go and look at the photo 200%

Next time go early in the morning. With fresh, butterflies, dragonflies and other insects are much less responsive and it is easier to photograph them 8-)

Thank you for the advice, however, consider that on this occasion I reconciled the Vanessa test with my wife's company, so as a compromise I gave... i'd say it can go :-D

Thanks to Fabio for pointing out this photo of you showing how the new zoom behaves in "closeup" mode: as I imagined the background is pleasantly blurred despite the maximum aperture to f/7.1, because it depends not only on the opening, but on the minimum focus distance and the distance of the background from the subject! ;-)
A really remarkable lens.
Ciao, Alberto.

In this free hand of yours you have well highlighted the splendid colors of the upper wings of this Vanessa.

Beautiful colors, with a little more attention to focus and composition could go from test to excellent shot :-D will be for next time
