"When morality is founded on theology and the right to divine authority, the most immoral, most unjust and most shameful things can have their foundation in God and be justified." Ludwig Feuerbach

The religion that Feuerbach criticized is a closed system. It didn't allow people to explore their talents. That contradicted the idea of a static society.
Feuerbach admired Giordano Bruno. Both did not accept borders and were fascinated by the concept of infinity. In the end, both were in conflict with a religion that rules people and limits life for the purpose of maintaining power.
