si è semplice. molti passeriformi e anche altri, cambiando di abito, da nuziale ad invernale, cambiano anche il colore del becco. così mentre sia zigoli delle nevi e anche fringuelli alpini, che fotografiamo in alta Lessinia, in inverno, hanno il becco giallo, mentre in abito nuziale, primaverile-estivo, lo hanno nero. gli zigoli delle nevi, maschi, diventano tutti bianchi, con ali e becco, nerissimi. così quando il becco inizia ad annerire, significa che gli ormoni girano e chiamano verso nord, dove si accoppiano e nidificano.
