The first martin is never forgotten! sent on September 17, 2020 (14:23) by TheBlackbird. 34 comments, 1617 views.

at 300mm, 1/1250 f/6.3, ISO 4000, hand held. Oasi WWF Lago di Burano, Italy. Specie: Alcedo atthis

#MartinPescatore #Avifauna #Uccelli #OasiDiBurano #WWF #Wildlife

Thank you Sergio! I was lucky enough that he had settled at that distance, otherwise with the 300 and I just couldn't get this "set stamp" either!

Boh me the photos set like a lot more..... this is very good, of course I see that in the shade so with iso ball did not help you, but I like it.....

Ale very nice, thank you, glad you like it!
I also prefer to set, but here was really the only option... :-D
Hagging cut off 3800 pixels long side was not an ideal shot, no, unfortunately... ;-)
Resta the photographic satisfaction of having obtained at least one decent image for the web (god, maybe even an A5/A4 I would get it as well eh!) but above all.... for me to have seen it, that was the important thing!

Sure, there is more satisfaction a photo so that made in paid oasis where everything is already programmed and the photos all the same... Now unfortunately I have a messy life if I would tell you to go and take some pictures together since you are in the area. ... But between children and work I'm put really bad :-)

When I comment on this kind of photo I press my total.... technical ignorance.
Ma that doesn't stop me from judging the shot itself.
Well, this shot I like, it's well composed and set and then.. has the added value of your story, that emotion that you lived and that you transferred to us too, to me for sure that of those ten shots made I probably did not save even one ;-)
A greeting
Andrea

It is not said that we all have to be specialists in a certain photographic sector, but ...
when we make a shot that has something beautiful, significant and worthy as in this case, there is something more that pushes us to publish and in any case the image transmits positive sensations
the image, he tells me
i think this is the case, good

Riccardo

I would say that at 15-20 meters and 4000 iso - even with the possibilities of a modern ff like the 6DmII - it is not bad at all.
I don't know how much you had to work in post.
To take some noise away for sure.
The charm of the photos set... Too bad for the featured leaves that disturb a little, I don't know if you could darken them; clone i don't think you'd have a great result.
I believe that in these cases, given the size of the subject on the frame, canon's high iso seal affects little.

Glad I could give you some advice.
I don't really like to clone and so I look for other less effective roads that can still help.
wish you well, that you will be back to normal soon.
