Foresta Monte Generoso (confine Italo-Svizzero). Lungo il sentiero che veniva usato dai Contrabbandieri per il commercio illegale, si trova questo maestoso Faggio. Leggenda vuole che sulla sua corteccia i Contrabbandieri incidessero frasi in codice, se non addirittura pensieri di solitudine nei momenti di riposo. Da qui il nome "Foo di parol" (Faggio delle parole). I viaggi erano spesso lunghi e difficoltosi, con partenza alla sera e rientro alle 4 del mattino, per concludersi con la consegna del carico lungo le sponde del Lario.
