La Gamine (ragazzina nella lingua francese) venne prodotta a Torino (I) in circa 300 esemplari dal 1967 al 1971 e solo in versione spider negli stabilimenti di Alfredo Vignale: un hard top in tela veniva offerto come optional. Era costruita sul telaio della Fiat 500 Nuova 500 versione F e quando veniva raggiunto un numero adeguato di prenotazioni partiva la produzione e ne venivano assemblate 12 in un giorno. La sua linea... ed in special modo la calandra anteriore... ricordano la Fiat 508 "Balilla" Sport ma il suo propulsore è posizionato posteriormente. La Gamine era dotata del motore bicilindrico "twin" di 499,5 cm3 della Fiat Nuova 500 versione F che erogando 21,5 cavalli di potenza faceva raggiungere alla vetturetta i 95 chilometri orari circa. A causa del prezzo di acquisto un po' elevato le vendite della Gamine non procurarono molti utili all'azienda di Alfredo Vignale che... già in condizioni precarie... verrà poi ceduta alla De Tomaso Modena Spa (già Automobili De Tomaso dal 1959) dell'ex pilota argentino Alejandro de Tomaso... che poi diventò De Tomaso Automobili poco prima della chiusura nel 2012. Negli anni '70 una carrozzeria analoga venne approntata da un'altra azienda per rendere il Maggiolone della Volkswagen simile ad una piccola Rolls Royce d'epoca.
