Hamearis lucina (Linné, 1758) - Famiglia Licenidi (ex Riodinidae) - Sottofamiglia Hamearinae - Apertura alare: Da 2,3 a 3,1 cm. - Distribuzione in Italia: Presente in tutte le regioni ad eccezione di Puglia, Calabria e delle isole. - Habitat: Radure e limitare di boschi, dalla pianura a 1700 m., ma localmente anche più in alto. - Periodo di volo: Polivoltina da aprile a giugno e da luglio a metà settembre. - Pianta alimentare dei bruchi: Varie specie di primule tra cui: Primula vulgaris e Primula elatior. - Dimorfismo sessuale: Femmina con disegni neri meno estesi, in particolare sulla pagina superiore delle ali anteriori che si presentano anche meno appuntite. - Variazioni: Molto variabile l'estensione dei disegni neri in entrambi i sessi.
