Agosto 2020 - Partiamo che è ancora buio, la prima parte di cammino è poco impegnativa; dopo un'oretta, il sentiero si inerpica su un fianco erboso e conduce ad un colle nascosto da una parete rocciosa. Oltre il passo si apre un grande vallone incontaminato; da lassù si riescono a scorgere diversi 4000 della Valle, il Bianco, il Cervino e il Rosa. Proseguendo il cammino, sulla sinistra, aggrappati alle rocce, resistono dei piccoli ghiacciai di circo le cui acque di fusione danno origine a diversi laghi alpini che decorano il paesaggio. È qui, a 2700 metri che trascorrono l'estate gli stambecchi più anziani della Valle. L'esemplare in foto ha più di 17 anni, ho trascorso quasi due ore insieme a lui; la compagnia, la tranquillità e lo sguardo saggio di uno stambecco anziano ci permettono di riflettere e criticare la vita frenetica che conduciamo al giorno d'oggi.
