Un incontro avvenuto quasi per caso, scendendo lungo una strada sterrata che costeggiava una piccola valletta. Erano circa le sette di sera. I fischi allarmati delle marmotte si erano uditi per tutto il pomeriggio, ma nessuna di loro si era mai fatta vedere. Mentre stavamo per tornare indietro, abbiamo scorto qualcosa muoversi nel bel mezzo della valletta: due adulti con altrettanti cuccioli! Ci siamo avvicinati il più silenziosamente possibile, ma non sembravano fare caso a noi.
