Nikon D6 sotto stress. Ieri sera con l'amico Roberto Aldrovandi abbiamo deciso di mettere a dura prova la nuovissima Nikon D6 provando a realizzare uno degli scatti più difficili che ci sia capitato di realizzare. Una farfalla podalirio a riposo in un campo con sullo sfondo una pieve e la Via Lattea. Il tutto in un singolo scatto! Utilizzando la tecnica del refocusing (il cambio di messa a fuoco durante lo scatto), la velocità della D6 e l'ottima tenuta ad alti ISO siamo riusciti a catturare un'immagine molto originale. Molto importante è stata la fase di pianificazione per trovare il luogo ideale. Questo doveva essere privo di inquinamento luminoso, in assenza della Luna e con un soggetto, la farfalla, sufficientemente tranquillo. La farfalla podalirio è stata davvero molto disponibile, ma le folate di vento hanno reso il tutto più difficile. Abbiamo quindi deciso di lavorare ad ISO molto elevati per congelare il movimento causato da questo. Come obiettivo abbiamo utilizzato il Nikkor 20mm 1.8 G per la ridotta distanza di messa a fuoco, l'ottima nitidezza e luminosità. Questa è una delle mie ottiche favorite superata solo recentemente dal nuovissimo Nikkor Z 20mm 1.8 S per mirroless. Dopo decine di prove a vuoto dove la luce veniva o troppo intensa o troppo debole e dopo svariati tentativi di refocusing finalmente siamo riusciti ad ottenere la foto che volevamo. La velocità e le tempistiche di esecuzione sono fondamentali. Sulla D6 sarebbe stato più comodo avere un display orientabile che in questo tipo di inquadrature è davvero molto utile, ma non si può avere tutto, soprattutto se si vuole una macchina "indistruttibile" come questa. In conclusione... prova refocusing con la Nikon D6... Superata! PS: la D6 supporta finalmente anche il focus stacking automatico, ma in questo caso non l'abbiamo utilizzato e sarà uno dei prossimi test.
