La Chiesa Madre, dedicata a San Michele Arcangelo, è di epoca ottocentesca. L'edificio Sacro presenta una pianta a croce latina con navata unica incrociata dal transetto; in stile dorico le colonne. Più volte nei secoli la Chiesa ha subito rilevanti danni. Dalle cronache del tempo si ricava che nel 1840, per volontà dell'arciprete Don Antonio Ficarra, la chiesa fu completamente restaurata. Una lapide posta sulla porta maggiore, ricorda che nel 1870, per iniziativa di Don Vincenzo Ioppolo, la matrice fu ridipinta, decorata con stucchi e marmi dotata di un maestoso organo a canne. Oggi la chiesa custodisce gelosamente un prezioso trittico in marmo di Giacomo Gagini, datato 1542, collocato dietro l'altare maggiore, raffigurante gli apostoli nella parte inferiore, la Madonna della Catena, San Giovanni Evangelista e San Michele Arcangelo: al vertice la statua, di dimensioni contenute, ma molto espressiva dell'Eterno Padre, con il triangolo sul capo, il mappamondo nella mano sinistra e la destra benedicente. Da ammirare la statua marmorea della Madonna della Natività e la statua lignea di San Leone Vescovo, patrono di Sinagra.
