at 24mm, 20 sec f/3.5, ISO 2000, tripod.

Hello Fede80,
I fear that any better than that to stand still is little to do. Noise reduction seems to me that you did perfect and also the focus is ok. If you want a less noisy touches you lower the ISO but that means increasing the shutter speed resulting in "blur".
Is there an alternative that can become complex, however, in the case of the presence of gradients and landscapes "complex" as in this picture: ie the sum.
What I mean is that you could do:
1) a trip to the countryside
2) a series of images for the sky to be added with the "usual" techniques astrophotography reducing noise. The sum should then be superimposed on the landscape ...
But a wide-angle changes the curvature of the field, asdo so with the money?
Expect more comments from experts landscape at night,
ciaux

hello, if I may speak my mind I'd go for the following improvements:
-Get a wide-angle lens, so as to allow at least 30 seconds of exposure without showing "trails" or trails of stars.
-Push the ISO to 3200
-Take on multiple levels (landscape + sky for example) via remote shooting, so you can have a view with minimal disruption compatible with the maximum exposure time to reach.

@ Astrotrezzi: for "sums" of shots you mean stacking? l personally have never used and I did not understand the proceedings. There are special programs dedicated to the purpose? and how do I add images of the sky with no chaser? I mean if I have a car stops the second picture (after 30 seconds of the first) takes a sky that moved. the sum so how does it happen?

Hello Pampaar,
I mean when I talk about sum stacking of astronomical images. If you want more information about I suggest you read this short article www.astrotrezzi.it/?p=697. There are many programs that allow you to add images as (the free) IRIS or DSS.
A tripod fixed the game is easy because you just need to crop a little 'or "track by hand" the sky during the night. The image sum would then be superimposed on the landscape with a single click achieving a result overall less noisy. The problem that I can not answer (I usually use very large focal lengths from 70mm up ...) is like adding stars that move in a field is not flat, but spherical, like a wide angle.
For this I would be curious if some expert can give us a hand ...
see you soon,
Dgreedy
