Il sito mesolitico dei Laghetti di Colbricon fu la prima testimonianza di presenze umane in alta quota dopo l'ultimo Massimo Glaciale,la sua scoperta risale al 18 giugno del 1971 e si deve a Luigi e a Gian Luigi Secco.Le ricerche in quest'area furono dirette dal Dottor Bernardino Bagolini del Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali e aprirono di fatto un nuovo capitolo nello studio della storia dei popolamenti mesolitici nell'ambiente alpino.
