Shrike with big catch sent on February 10, 2013 (15:01) by Michele. 28 comments, 4482 views.

con Canon EF 2.0x II, 1/1000 f/6.3, ISO 200, tripod. Specie: Lanius excubitor

O troppo o niente. ciao Michele

Hello, this is indeed a picture that rivals, is not built in the laboratory.
A more unique than rare, I think it's really hard for her capture prey as large, although voles are part of their diet.
Surely you know, but I like to remember it that, after having captured the prey impaled by the thorns when they need to use them, so if it happens you will find its cemeteries, killer stuff from first class.
And in fact, with hooked beak that resembles a small bird of prey.
Greetings and again very good for the photo very beautiful, but especially for capturing truly extraordinary.

This is one of those photos that happen once in a lifetime.
I noticed his presence for the event.
I was even uncertain whether to frame it because I was in the tele 'hen that laid the base of the tree ages and I was afraid that with the movement, and in any case they would soon be broken.
A great stroke of luck so to speak .... ;-)
I would have preferred to be more responsible, I do not know if I can make myself understood.
It was not me that was driving has happened ....
Michele
PS: I beat the area to try on a few thorns or barbed wire pantry, but I did not find anything .... in my area is only a step.

Hello Michael, I rise again because I did not understand.
I would have preferred to be more responsible, I do not know if I can make myself understood. It was not me that was driving .... has happened ....... .
You made a nice picture .... more responsible than that.
Therefore, I'd settle the premium received from a nature that ....... must always be her hero.
We can only admire and never be invasive to condition it.

Sometimes you see a perch often used, put in the shed and if you're lucky shots.
See a good hunting area, there you put the roost, aspects that you are using, you affixed and maybe take home something.
For some years this gives me more satisfaction than not happen to us by chance.
The outputs are nice because they allow exploration of program or better to dream what can be done then (rarely true).
Here the Shrike hunting I did not expect proprio.Unico about the hours of shed 1.2mX1.2m to scrutinize the holes mignon to anticipate the arrival of the hen.
Be clear picture as qs I wish I capitassero everyday ....
hello
Michele

I understand and agree with.

Read more ........ now ...... I agree partially, in the sense that build the set, fill it maybe feed, is like going fishing in one of the ponds with fish that bite from all parts.
No, there are tricks and special effects, then repeat this picture I like it very much, otherwise I would have liked a little 'less.
But of course this is just my opinion.
Greetings
