Uno scatto dello scorso ottobre, fatto all'Etosha NP. Purtroppo per i tanti animali della Namibia, lo scorso 2019 è stato un anno da record per la siccità. Non ha MAI piovuto nelle zone più aride, tantissimi animali sono morti, e quando siamo arrivati all'Etosha, sapevo bene cosa ci aspettava. Una lotta serrata tra prede e predatori per le poche pozze d'acqua disponibili. Tantissimi avvistamenti, anche se a discapito dei poveri animali che ricercavano continuamente quella poca acqua presente. Questa mamma era invece in ottima forma, ed anche i suoi piccoli, nonostante nati da pochissimo, erano belli cicciottelli. Goffi e buffi come solo i piccoli sanno essere, ancora incerti nel muovere i primi passi, si erano fermati proprio in mezzo alla strada sterrata. Mamma leonessa non aveva alcuna intenzione di lasciarli lì, circondati da auto e sotto il sole cocente. Con pazienza ha preso in bocca il più piccolo e si è allontanata sotto ad un'acacia poco più avanti. Siamo tornati più volte in zona ma non li abbiamo mai più visti così bene. Devo dire che abbiamo anche assistito a scene deplorevoli nei giorni successivi. Con la mamma leonessa più volte disturbata da persone incivili. Addirittura un tizio russo è sceso dalla macchina......lei è scattata in avanti per qualche metro e ruggito con la bava alla bocca. Per fortuna è poi tornata sui suoi passi. Ci vorrebbe un po' più di educazione e rispetto per la natura! Un saluto a tutti. Ale
