La primavera sott'acqua come fuori è un trionfo di vita. In inverno il fiume sembra sterile, freddo, un pò come le sere nelle nostre città a novembre: le vie nebbiose sono deserte, e non c'è anima viva. Finito l'inverno e il lockdown siamo tutti usciti a prendere aria, a vivere, ci siamo riversati tra i campi, boschi e le piazze. Un pó come i vaironi, i piccoli pesci che potete vedere nella foto con la linea scura sul corpo, hanno appena finito di riprodursi, e nuotano ovunque sul fiume. Pur non essendo molto appariscenti hanno il loro fascino, mi piace molto osservarli soprattutto quando escono da un affratto buio e freddo, e vengono colpiti dalla luce calda del sole, diventano abbaglianti. Mentre li guardo mi nuotano attorno, mi pento del mio passato da pescatore e di non averli mai considerati. È un peccato che spesso vengano pescati e maltrattati, spesso trasportati chiusi in bottiglie di plastica, solo per essere usati come esca per catturare pesci predatori più "importanti". Fuori il sole di mezzogiorno è caldo, non mi dispiace essere nell'acqua fredda, i contrasti sono sempre piacevoli. Qui è tutto un andirivieni di piccoli pesci stupendi. Ci sono anche le sanguinerole, loro si preparano al periodo riproduttivo : le femmine sono gonfie, la livrea del maschio diventa appariscente, al centro della foto se ne vedono un paio con i caratteristici fianchi verdi metallici e la pancia rossa, quanta bellezza. In tutto questo due rospi comuni si stanno accoppiando, la femmina è sotto e depone le uova mentre il maschio le feconda stando sopra. Intorno tutti vanno e vengono, loro sono più o meno fermi.
