Saline di Maras (3.500 mslm) Risalgono all'epoca Inca (intorno al 200 d.C.). Si tratta di un complesso di circa 3.000 pozze, ciascuna delle quali grande più o meno intorno ai quattro metri quadrati e profonda circa 30 centimetri. L'acqua salina, che esce dal sottosuolo mediante un pozzo chiamato Qoripujio, viene dirottata verso le altre pozze da un complesso sistema idraulico che ci fa capire quanto fosse competente il popolo Inca. Le saline appartengono alla comunità locale, che trae sostentamento economico proprio dalla vendita del sale.
