Settembre 2016 – Grand Teton & Yellowstone NP. Il mio primo viaggio fotografico incentrato non solo sul paesaggio ma anche sulla fauna. Un viaggio che occupa un posto speciale nella classifica dei miei viaggi preferiti fin ora fatti. Oltre ai particolari paesaggi del Grand Teton caratterizzati, nella stagione autunnale, dai colori accesi è stata soprattutto l'occasione di vedere per la prima volta coyote, pronghorn (e scoprire che è l'animale terrestre più veloce dopo il ghepardo), orsi, cervi in periodo di bramito, bisonti e la tanto iconica aquila calva. Indelebile rimarrà l'avvistamento di un esemplare di allocco di lapponia. Una rapace magnifico, a cui abbiam dedicato più di una scheda di memoria (e la sorpresa di leggere sulle guide del parco che è rarissimo da vedere allo Yellowstone per me è stata impagabile). E infine all'ultimo giorno, una spettacolare nevicata ha avvolto il paesaggio dai colori ancora vividi di un bianco fiabesco facendo da cornice a un imponente alce maschio che attraversava lo snake river. Come primo viaggio direi che non mi son fatto mancare nulla. È stata anche l'occasione per testare il mitologico fattore C del Beconi. Ringrazio l'amico Nangi che si è prestato, anche questa volta, alla postproduzione del mio scatto.
