Mentre mi accingevo a fotografare un pettirosso, di lato mi vedo spuntare una copia di Coturnici. meravigliato della sorpresa, di soppiatto, mi sono avvicinato fino ad arrivare a portata del mio corto obiettivo. Poi di soppiatto mi sono allontanato per non disturbarle, sperando possano nidificare tranquillamente e che possano rimanere indisturbate.

Very pleasant shot, but it is not a partridge (Alectoris graeca), but a chukar or eastern partridge (Alectoris chukar), a species unfortunately introduced for hunting purposes ... yet another havoc carried out by hunters!
