Beautiful is not it? Sometimes there are so many that bend the branches where lean, very large bird with a wingspan of 2 meters.

SorrisoSorriso

sometimes these situations can happen fortunate.evidentemente you come across a real colony of kites nreali.prima rest of carousels are in heaven bellissimi.qualche time it happened to me to see this spectacle of nature in the Province of Isernia. The Kites are the best to do the gliding even if they are not good in the catch as buzzards, eagles etc.e 'always exciting to see them fly, at least for me.Ti I would be grateful if I did know where you performed the wonderful catches posted . compliments tutto.sei was really bravo.ti greeting. :-) :-)

Ciao Vincenzo

You're right, the kites are scavengers more than hunters, attend a lot of the landfills where they feed on human waste.
This picture like the others in my gallery I realized right near a landfill in the province of Potenza in Basilicata ...... alas landfill closed in March 2013, and replaced by another, but where the garbage is treated in a compactor before being granted.
the result is that the kites have fallen sharply this year and these scenes me dream again. Last year, the area was the one with the most concentration of kites from all over Italy (Red Kite sources census 2013).
They are black because if it is true that the garbage should not create problems for humans is equally true that the institutions do nothing to maintain the habitat of rakings and beautiful ..... like the red kite .... see wind turbines etc. ..
