at 500mm, 1/640 f/8.0, ISO 200, hand held.

Hello Fulvio, as you say it is a wintered and lived specimen and the shooting conditions were not ideal but in the meantime you brought home a shot of the Vanessa Antiopa something that many, myself included still dream of. Congratulations on catching it also because it is not an easy species to approach. The sharpness is not the best, while the composition I like. Meanwhile a shot you took him home to this butterfly and you have to be satisfied with it. A warm greeting and congratulations, hello Fabrizio

Hello Fabrizio I had been looking for her for a couple of years, seen flying high in the mountains ... I never thought I'd find her at home... I also made some better shots but with closed or semi-open wings (which I like , but I know that the parallelism in the forum goes out of fashion) this although improveable was more didactic ...
Hello , I began to make even the first bridesmaids ....

After the Apollo, which as you know I have not yet been able to see or film, the Vanessa Antiopa is my favorite butterfly! Great meeting!!!!

I fully agree with you Marco , I hope this summer to do it better with a more "fresh" subject, luck permitting ;-) maybe together :-)

;-) Then I would say so: we hope to make double of Apollo and Antiopa..... What do you say? I'm taking you to The Antiopa and you're taking me to the Apollo?
8-)

Hello Fulvio, you have had a wonderful experience observing this rare butterfly. A shot that I have been following for many years, the last time I saw the antiopa was in September a couple of years ago laid on a bean leaf in the garden of the house, the bad is that I could not take it back, since that day when I go in the garden always scratch well eyes
Bravissimo, hello, good weekend :-) :-)
