"«Un vero disastro ambientale». «Un intervento scellerato effettuato da persone incompetenti». «Un luogo meraviglioso distrutto per sempre». Sono questi solo alcuni dei commenti e delle invettive esternati da tante persone in merito all'intervento di pulizia dell'alveo del torrente Rosandra effettuato l'ultimo fine settimana dai volontari della Protezione Civile nell'ambito dell'operazione "Alvei puliti". In Val Rosandra erano convenuti oltre 200 volontari giunti da ben 15 comuni della regione. Un intervento salutato con particolare soddisfazione dall'Amministrazione Comunale di San Dorligo, non altrettanto da decine e decine di escursionisti e cittadini che sono rimasti a bocca aperta di fronte alla radicale manutenzione prodotta. «Siamo stati tra i primi a effettuare un sopralluogo in seguito alle segnalazioni inviateci ? spiegano Dario Gasparo, biologo, già professore di economia e gestione ambientale nell'ateneo triestino e Paolo Parmegiani, agronomo. Ciò che abbiamo visto va al di là della peggiore delle ipotesi che ci eravamo fatti. Con particolare riguardo per il tratto del torrente che dal Rifugio Premuda sale per oltre un centinaio di metri addentrandosi nella valle sono stati effettuati dei tagli radicali lungo tutto il letto del fiume e nelle golene (zone di terreno adiacenti il letto di magra di un torrente). Praticamente è stata cancellata la foresta a "galleria" di Salice e Pioppo bianco che, assieme agli Ontani, caratterizzava questa parte del Rosandra.
