Lion or cat? sent on January 30, 2013 (20:53) by Oly. 27 comments, 3455 views.

, 1/320 f/4.5, ISO 4000, hand held. Masai Mara, Kenya. Specie: Panthera leo

Thank goodness that cats who live in this house are not so great because tonight I had three out of four on him:-D:-D but I would like to have a similar scene in front of my lens or even just in front of the eyes and a photo so between my!

Very nice also the shot with the branch that comes out right where he also directed the eyes of the lion!

crawling of this kind is best left in the bush

Rather than agree! Lately I accidentally read about photography animal model of which some "photographers" Americans do workshops, I was shocked and disconsolate ... I thought that at almost all controlled environments I feel guilty as belonging to the so-called human race ...

Thank you Roberto. What about Chiara, man is the only animal that never ceases to amaze me and make me incaz .......

Great shot Oly, you took a difficult scene to assist. Surprising 5D 4000ISO, the subject also seen in the HD version is very clean. Only thing that you have done too much a reduction of background noise, which is thus a bit 'too washed out. Seeing the noise on the subject I would say that would be enough for the background less ... ;-)
Congratulations again for the picture!
Good light, Ivan

Thank you Ivan and Marco. Ivan: Maybe you're right for the reduct. noise, try to reduce it a little less

I read on some forums that lions often do, in those parts of the trees zompare believing crawl. I hope soon to be able to see some too! Then find them so seem so paciocconi ...

wow!

Congratulations Oly!
A very beautiful image and patience for the iso .... for what I think is lost each left and sometimes the most difficult situations leaving shots really interesting ...
Honestly, the 'only thing that puzzles me is the treatment of the background I do not know whether by choice or in an attempt to limit the noise but I get a little' the impression of a watercolor that contrasts a bit 'too much with the' tree and the lion .. and the separation is not always as precise as in the lower left of the 'tree ..

Thanks to Edward and Memy. In fact, as already pointed out to me Ivan, I exaggerated a bit in reducing the noise in the background. I've picked up in another file, but I'll leave this photo posted to avoid losing your feedback. Memy ready to go? lucky you:-D:-D:-D

Not for nothing that I am, ten days after my departure, I deleted all kinds of activities that are potentially at risk illness. No pool, I might catch cold. No skiing, I could fall and lussarmi something. No bike, and if sudo and then I stop and I is death?

And so on.

I preserved, such as the Egyptian mummies.

Shame not to have a shrine in which slip up to 11 days ...

:-D

nice atmosphere and colors of the sunset, as I said, perhaps a little 'too much noise reduction ...
