Hello! do not worry we are all here to learn (I for one ;-)) shooting data so you can find them: (at least as I do). With an image in jpg right click, properties, details, and below on the camera you have all the data that the machine stores the time of shooting! ;-) :-). (At least with Windows)
Coming to the shots, if you're going to photograph birds in my opinion you have to change technical 8-), (not that I have a lot of experience in photography - 1 year and a half). Or search for some oasis of huts already in place or you mimetizzi you:-D via hut / tent that you can buy on the Internet or in stores for hunting and fishing! if I'm not mistaken Ellemme you commented on a photo, which is also one of the forum moderators, has written many posts also on the techniques of gardening and mimicry of birds, which are moltor very interesting.
Since you have a 300 mm. (That is not very suitable for birds because short, I wrote one that has a 70/300 and will soon a 400) so you need to get closer to subjects logically. In any case, I suggest you find some oasis equipped as a first step! greetings and good luck, Andrea ;-)
