Hello Fox, I put you here a stupid question also applies to the image of Jupiter. Images shot with Lumenera + Cn (with n tending to infinity:-D) always show a great dynamic in terms of colors and shades. Now, I understand the increase in detail with the focal length and aperture of the telescope, but because the images taken with a webcam or craft NexImage always come out on yellow with a very narrow dynamic color :-(? A problem of room (costs 1 / n times less:-D) or processing? I use Registax for the amount of pictures you? Thank you very much for the information and congratulations again for the fantastic images, David Ciao Volpe, ti pongo qui una domanda stupida che vale anche per l'immagine di Giove.

First of all grace again to everyone for the comments, then answer Astrotrezzi (David) I can tell you that the NexImage is basically little more than a webcam where you can get decent results but always limited by the type of sensor that mounts. As most of the webcam trade, the NexImage records movies in the format YUV4, which has a dynamic of only 4 bits (16 tones) for each of the chrominance channels, and 8-bit (256) for luminance, a very dynamic low, to which you can somehow overcome by running the sum of many images. Also consider that in general, the cam color are less sensitive than for monochrome fia of the bayer matrix, and to balance the best colors during shooting require an IR cut filter. now NexImage (confirmed by a friend who uses it) it should have already fitted as standard, butApparently adding a filter UV-IR cut quality as that of baader, the results are better. Also consider that the colors also vary with changes of the height of the planets and the level of moisture that is in the recovery phase, this applies to both the single colors. Moral of the story is impossible to achieve with the neximageche (which works at low dynamic) have the dynamics of Lumenera cam or other professionals who work 12-bit, as it is impossible to obtain certain colors with the bayer matrix, comparable to those given by filters work in well-defined wavelengths (then again there are filters more or less valid). However, I can confirm that with the NexImage us jump out of beautiful images, if you can take the right hand in the management of the settings in the acquisition phase, you'll see that your planet verRà out well-balanced :-) For image processing and Autostakkert2 I use Photoshop plug-in astraimage ... I left registax now one year since Autostakkert aligns and sum the images better, and the plug-in Astraimage, as well as having the same or better Wavelet Registax6, it also masks deconvolution that I enjoy a lot on the moon.

3E Regarding Registax, I decided to migrate to something else because the version 6 of the program I do not like. I will consider your advice. Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I have been very high resolution but it is always interesting to follow and impararare by masters like you ;-). See you soon, David
PS: now I want to see posted even Mars ... is a show! wow! Prenderò in considerazione i tuoi consigli. |

Thanks :-) 1000 Guz
David X
I can guarantee that the DBK is significantly higher than the NexImage from the fact that works in 8-bit (I had the dbk 21), if you found that is equal to the Celestron, then there is probably something wrong in the shooting settings that ... capture software do you use?
PS of course, also Mars will post ;-) Grazie 1000 Guz X Davide ti posso garantire che la DBK è nettamente superiore alla neximage a partire dal fatto che lavora a 8 bit( io ho avuto la dbk 21), se hai trovato che sia uguale alla celestron, allora probabilmente c'è qualcosa di errato nelle impostazioni di ripresa...che software di acquisizione utilizzi? P.S certo, posterò anche Marte |

Hello Fabio, the results obtained with the two chambers, as I said, I look very similar. A comparison of the page to see www.astrotrezzi.it/?p=2195. Perhaps as you say are shooting settings that do not go very well. Unfortunately shooting high-resolution is often the fallback to pass the time while shooting the dark ;-), so I never paid close attention. But since I'd like to make the most of my tools there is nothing better than asking for a big like you? Then, returning to NexImage, for the acquisition using wxAstroCapture while for the ImagingSource use IC-Capture. A salutone and thank you very much, David Ciao Fabio, i risultati ottenuti con le due camere, come ti dicevo, mi sembrano molto simili.

Really wonderful. The colors are as impressive as the visibility of details on the different rings. That pelino shade gives a little 'of three-dimensionality. In addition to the indisputable talent of the author, I am impressed by the progress made in twenty years from amateur digital. I have a C8 classic from '76 (the orange one, so to speak) and I remember how I looked dreamy pictures in books. With the film was already a joy to see well into a single loop. A photo like this, at that time, it was made only in observers with very different instruments. The C11 is not just a tool, but with a good shot, a fair process and a lot of patience and passion, you can squeeze the light to achieve unimaginable results. Stupenda davvero. |

Thanks :-) Motofoto I can tell you that the technology we have now can allow similar images, which until a few years ago were really only work of real observers. Today, however, with a decent setup and especially to everyone, the meticulousness in setting it properly, a good recovery (especially the good fortune to find a good night) and a bit of hard work in processing, you can do so much. |
