Questa è la banda della Brigata Sassari uno dei reparti più gloriosi dell'esercito italiano orgoglio dei sardi. L'inno della brigata Sassari finisce con «Sa fide nostra/ no la pagat dinari/ ajò! Dimonios!/ avanti forza paris» il grido che facevano saltando fuori dalle trincee per l'assalto. «Forza Insieme!». ----- E forza insieme amici, in quest'ora fatale abbiamo bisogno dell'aiuto e della solidarietà di tutti solo così ce la faremo e allora ajò avanti forza paris. ----------------- La Brigata Sassari durante la Grande Guerra ottenne il record di decorazioni nel Regio esercito. La Sassari perse 12.923 uomini e visto che una brigata inquadrava circa 6 mila soldati, venne ricostituita due volte. «Dalla trincea/ fino alla Croazia/ i sassarini/ hanno scritto la storia/ boh! Boh!/ seguiamo le loro orme/ onorando quell'eredità/ sassarina», recita il testo tradotto. Dimonios, il titolo della marcia, è una citazione di Die Roten Teufel, I diavoli rossi, appellativo con cui gli austriaci li avevano ribattezzati. “Diavoli” per la loro fama di coraggio e anche di ferocia: in gran parte pastori, molti al posto della baionetta sul fucile montavano i coltelli per sgozzare le pecore, e avevano fama di non fare prigionieri. “Rossi” per le mostrine bianche e rosse, e anche per il terriccio del Carso che aveva impregnato le loro divise.
