at 18mm, 1/125 f/3.5, ISO 640, hand held. Lisbona, Portugal.

Vedi le altre foto di Pietro sulla galleria LISBONA ------- On the top floor of the bookshop "Ler Devagar", at the LX Factory in Lisbon, there is a workshop that houses the creations of Pietro Proserpio. A playful craftsman of Italian origins, who enjoys creating mechanical works. Many of these tell stories, like the mechanized adventure of Don Quixote. Others are projections of his imagination, such as the original city of the future equipped with elevators, buildings and public transport. There is also the incredible reproduction of a scene from the film "Modern Times" by the genius of early twentieth century cinema Charlie Chaplin. These machines come to life in a concert of metallic noises and intermittent lights. They are true masterpieces of mechanical art. Once he had finished showing us his inventions, Pietro told me his story: «I was a textile worker, but I didn't like threads: I was in love with machines. So I started building a lot of contraptions, using waste materials and all my imagination». #ritratto #primopiano #lisbona
