Il Castel Sismondo di Rimini prende il proprio nome dal suo ideatore e costruttore, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, a quell'epoca signore di Rimini e Fano. Castel Sismondo fu costruito per volere di Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta a partire dal 1437, in un periodo di grande prosperità per la signoria malatestiana[1]. Fu ideato come fortezza e palazzo al tempo stesso, di grandiose proporzioni, che dovesse rappresentare visivamente il potere e la supremazia del signore sulla città[1][2]. Sigismondo, celebrato come architetto dell'opera dagli scrittori di corte, fu verosimilmente ispiratore e coordinatore del progetto, per la sua esperienza di condottiero e la grande conoscenza delle arti belliche[3]. Di certo il signore fu affiancato da progettisti ed ebbe la consulenza, poco dopo l'inizio dei lavori, di Filippo Brunelleschi, architetto di grande prestigio chiamato a Rimini nel 1438 per eseguire sopralluoghi nelle principali fortezze della signoria[1][4][5]. Alla fabbrica inoltre lavorarono, prima dell'arrivo di Brunelleschi e ancora nel 1454, Cristoforo Foschi e Matteo Nuti[2]. In anni recenti Castel Sismondo è stato oggetto di un generale restauro, diretto da Carla Tomasini Pietramellara[19], che ne ha permesso la fruizione da parte del pubblico, la conservazione e la comprensione delle fasi costruttive[5]. L'accessibilità è stata garantita con l'introduzione di ascensori, passerelle e nuovi corpi scala di disegno contemporaneo all'interno del mastio e dell'ala di Isotta. Nel corso dei lavori sono emerse preesistenze di età romana e altomedievale, tra cui i resti delle mura tardo imperiali (il cui tracciato segue esattamente il fronte sud-occidentale del mastio), una porta e le fondazioni di una torre[20], che sono stati resi visibili e integrati nella nuova sistemazione dei percorsi e degli spazi espositivi. Ed è in questo Castello che si può visitare: "Fellini 100 genio immortale" Una mostra che offre al pubblico l'occasione di attraversare lo schermo ed immergersi nelle immagini e nei suoni che non sono solo estratti di pellicole, ma rappresentano gli echi della nostra memoria collettiva. Da Rimini, la mostra si sposterà a Roma, Berlino e Mosca, per poi tornare a Rimini fra un anno per divenire collezione permanente con il Museo Internazionale Federico Fellini. -------------------------------------------------------------------- L'inquadratura è stretta perché ai lati del Castello c'era di tutto e di più: pullman turistici, gru etc. Ho dovuto, quindi fare di necessità virtù, e stringere il più possibile e clonando in qualche punto.
