, 1/320 f/5.6, ISO 100, hand held. Val Roseg, Switzerland. Specie: Nucifraga caryocatactes

thanks to all, it is a Nutcracker and is the symbol of the Swiss National Park because thanks to its strategy of nutrition it has become the symbol of coexistence in nature. The nutcrackers feed on pine seeds that are able to remove the cones with their sharp beak. In autumn every nutcracker hides the seeds in thousands of hiding places as reserves for the winter. In winter, found 80 per cent of these hiding from the rest of the young sprout stone pines.
It remains a mystery how the nutcracker able to find the hiding under the snow that had laid in autumn.

Very nice, especially for the setting that you have short focal allowed. I have often heard talk about the confidence of the fauna in the Swiss National Park and your photos confirm that it's all true!

the Swiss fauna has developed an incredible confidence with the 'man because for decades is respected and protected so that it has become a tourist attraction and photographic industries. L 'Engadine with its valleys and the park have become a popular destination that allows almost always interested photographic catches.

Thank you. Then I got to meet a gentleman who recently passed to carry into the woods seeds, and other food for the birds and squirrels. Along the trails, there are also bins of dadove making a free offer you can get seeds for the birds. At the same time in the winter large areas are closed to pedestrian transit also not to disturb the wildlife in this most critical time. The result is that it is almost always possible to do some nice meetings and taking pictures
