Quando un sogno diventa realtà. A Parigi mentre con la mia inseparabile reflex al collo, sto per attraversare, mi vedo affiancare un gruppetto familiare con un invalido in carrozzella. Cedo il passo, e la signora in seconda fila, mi sorride e mi ringrazia in italiano. Mi sento immediatamente a casa e ne approfitto per chiedere notizie del signore diversamente abile. «Sono sua moglie – mi risponde subito la signora – e oggi sono molto felice, perché per mio marito si avvera un sogno lungo quarant'anni». La guardo e sto per parlare, quando, mi dice: «Quarant'anni fa ci siamo sposati, ed eravamo alla stazione diretti a Parigi per il nostro viaggio di nozze. Malauguratamente, mio marito, scivolò sul marciapiede, si fratturò la caviglia e addio viaggio a Parigi. Ambulanza, degenza in ospedale, e varie complicazioni. Morale, da quella brutta caduta, mio marito non si è più ripreso e, come vede, è in carrozzella. Ho lavorato in tutti questi anni per vivere decorosamente, e adesso finalmente fra il suo assegno di invalidità e la mia pensione, ringraziando sempre il buon Dio, stiamo bene e il domani non ci fa paura. E finalmente è anche giunta l'ora di riprendere quel “famoso treno”, anzi l'aereo per realizzare il sogno di vedere Parigi». Il signore si chiama Umberto, l'ho salutato, era felice in compagnia della sua signora, delle sue due figlie e del suo miglior amico che spingeva la sua carrozzella. Una bella storia, finita in un vicino bistrot, dove dopo un po' ci siamo salutati con la promessa di andarli a trovare, quando capito a Bologna. Commenti e consigli sempre super graditi. Grazie.
