Siamo nell'ombelico del mondo, geograficamente individuato dai nativi Quechua nel Lago Titicaca, nella terra dove la leggenda vuole che il primo Inca sia sorto dalle acque. Questa parte del viaggio ci porterà dai circa 3.600 metri del Salar de Uyuni ai 4.278 della Laguna Colorada e oltre, sino agli oltre 5.000 metri di alcuni passi. Il cielo si fa via via più azzurro, anzi blu. E' incredibile, stiamo immaginando di toccare il cielo. L'aria si fa via via più rarefatta, la difficoltà a respirare si fa sentire al punto che anche soli 100 metri possono sembrare un'eternità e ci si chiede se si arriverà mai a destinazione. Ma non ci arrendiamo, non ci sono problemi, le meraviglie di questa terra sono di fronte a noi!
