In una città di mare come Napoli, il pesce non può non essere una delle pietanze più amate. Mi sono fatta con un ex collega una bella passeggiata in uno di questi mercati e mi è parso per un attimo di essere in piazza XX settembre, nella mia Monopoli. Era come se le voci dei pescatori partenopei e monopolitani si mischiassero quasi facessero a gara a chi urlava di più. Nella mia città, di mercato ce n'è uno solo, a Napoli invece da piazza Mercato a Fuorigrotta, dal Vomero a Pozzuoli, ci sono tutti i mercati ittici più grandi e famosi della città. Lunghe file di banchi stracolmi di pesce arricchiti da vere e proprie scenografie azzurre che richiamano il mare, attirano passanti e turisti invitandoli a fermarsi per comprare le prelibatezze che espongono. Il mercato di Porta Nolana, in piazza Mercato, è una tappa imperdibile, ed è quello più affollato di Napoli, va da Corso Garibaldi fino alla stazione della circumvesuviana di Porta Nolana. Il mio ex collega, napoletano doc, mi ha detto: « Qui trovi il “primo pescato e la paranza di giornata” e tutti i tipi di pesce: dalle orate alle pezzogne, dagli astici alle aragoste, e gli immancabili frutti di mare». Mi ha spiegato che nella notte dell'antivigilia di Natale, tra il 23 e il 24 dicembre, il mercato di Porta Nolana si anima ancora di più e l'intera nottata è dedicata all'acquisto del pesce da cucinare per il “cenone” Si tratta di un vero e proprio rito per i napoletani. ------------------------------------------ Volevo postare questa foto in bianco e nero ma poi ho preferito optare per il colore, perché m'è sembrato più rappresentativo dell'atmosfera autentica napoletana. ------------------------------------------ Critiche, commenti e consigli, sempre molto graditi.
