Great picture Alberto. Maybe, and I say maybe, a slightly more shading light (or maybe a contrast thread) would have given even more three-dimensionality, but it remains a beautiful photo. Good.
A greeting.
Mark.

Details that few can see and even less to resume with so much balance and wisdom.
Hello and congratulations.

Beautiful composition and light situation... Even I maybe, as Marco pointed out, I would have contrasted the scene more, this does not detract from the fact that it remains a great image :)

beautiful the homogeneous carpet below that almost makes the glue between the various creepers.
what is missing, however, is the atmosphere, or rather that touch of drama that the scene in my opinion claims.
It was necessary to put your hand to brightness, mark the shadow areas and highlight the incoming blades of light from dx, you had to interpret it more, instead, as always, you have been very conservative in post production and in this kind of shots for me it is a bit limiting.
image a little flat for me.
as always personal opinion ;-)

How wonderful. Lights and colors handled very well. I approve who does not twist in post the original colors of the file.
bye gios ;-)

Nice picture! Very interesting. If I wanted to get my hands on it, I would have cut a little over.

The image interprets well as suggested by the title, the impression is that sometimes especially among us who deal more with landscape there is a tendency to always give a lot of attention to the aesthetic side, here the soft and warm light and autumn colors make the image beautiful but perhaps distract a little from the story.
Congratulations, hello

Thank you all for commenting on this image and sorry for the delay!
I took this photo one September afternoon, on those typical sunny days a little muffled by the humidity and the focal has compressed the planes and reduced the three-dimensionality of the image. In short, the day was a bit gloomy and the contrast little marked. In post I wanted to increase the contrasts, but I found myself gradually reducing them, perhaps spoiled by the memory of the real scene... I agree that the atmosphere is missing, especially the dramatic one evoked by the title, but I was not able to reproduce it satisfactorily in post (here Simone would have done a great job for sure) so I let it go in favor of a more natural rendering.
I'm glad you appreciated it anyway.

I almost see tree beings during a procession (I swear I didn't drink :-D).
I don't mind the way you worked it maybe because, like you, I don't like the strong contrasts in this kind of color photos. For me a good photo

Thank you Agata, Sergio and Raymond: I am pleased with your approval!
You're right Sergio : the tree figures look almost human beings in procession, with long robes and the head bowed... Unfortunately it is a mesmeristic procession, the end of many native species of the gorge...
