La Giannini 750 Sport Mille Miglia... qui raffigurata e che è un modello unico... ha origine dal telaio numero 15526 di una Fiat 500 A del 1947 meglio nota come "Topolino"... dotata poi di una carrozzeria a barchetta e di tipo a "Siluro" costruita dalla Carrozzeria Ala d'Oro situata in Reggio Emilia la quale fu fondata da Franco Bertani... un ex pilota... sulle ceneri delle Officine Reggiane che precedentemente avevano costruito parti per aereoplani durante la II Guerra Mondiale. Per la Scuderia Lazio... con alla guida Melchiorre Pomes... la vetturetta gareggiò sia nella 1000 Miglia del 1948... con il numero di gara 97 in cui era dotata di un motore Fiat di 660 cm3... che nella 1000 Miglia del 1950 con il numero 314... dove però il precedente motore era stato sostituito presso l'Officina F.lli Giannini sita in Roma da un analogo modello a 4 cilindri in linea denominato Giannini G 1 ma con una cubatura di 743 cm3 e dotato di una testata in alluminio costruita dalla Società Automobili Marino... di Luigi Marino... in Padova.
