Quanti colori hanno le stelle? Questo è uno spettacolare crop dell'ultimo startrail che ho realizzato. Normalmente gli startrail sono costituiti da striscie bianche, ma in questo caso ho aggiustato i parametri di esposizione per catturare i colori delle stelle. Lo spettro di emissione nel visibile di una stella è piccato su lunghezze d'onda che dipendono dalla composizione e soprattutto dalla temperatura superficiale della stella. In ossequio alla legge di Planck, le stelle più calde avranno una colorazione tendente al blu, mentre quelle più "fredde" (parliamo di un freddo relativo, ovviamente!) tenderanno al rosso-arancio. Il risultato di questa ripresa è andato ben oltre le aspettative, ci sono praticamente tutti i colori della tavolozza! Ma la cosa che mi piace pensare maggiormente è che ognuna di quelle strisce rappresenta un mondo lontano, forse come il nostro, chissà :)
