Diamanti, rubini, smeraldi , doni di re e regine , hanno contributo a creare un gioiello unico al mondo , la collana di San Gennaro , realizzata da Michele Dato nel 1679 . Il Museo del Tesoro di San Gennaro è un museo di Napoli , il cui ingresso è situato accanto al Duomo e alla Cappella del Tesoro . L'area museale , di oltre settecento metri quadrati , espone le sue opere ( che in precedenza non erano mai state offerte alla visione del pubblico ) nei locali sottostanti la Cappella del Tesoro , per una serie di collezioni d'arte comprendenti gioielli , statue , busti , tessuti pregiati e dipinti di grande valore . Il Tesoro di San Gennaro è il più prezioso al mondo , anche più di quello della corona d'Inghilterra . Nel film Operazione San Gennaro , con protagonista Nino Manfredi ed un cameo dell' indimenticabile Totò , un gruppo di maldestri ladri cercano di impossessarsi del tesoro del santo .
