Pella was a rescue pup who came into our lives when we really needed her. She was such a kind girl, always happy and ready to play. She loved to kiss and hug. Unfortunately, she got into a pack of sugarless gum tonight, and the Xylitol contained in it caused her to go into an immediate hypoglycemic coma. The veterinarian could not save her, despite their best efforts. The veterinarian said many people are unaware of how dangerous and toxic this substance is to dogs.
