Guangzhou (Canton) pochi giorni fa. In una stradina laterale chiusa, esercita il mestiere un pescivendolo con tanto di vasche coi pesci e crostacei vivi. Il suo banco non ha alcuna forma di protezione nè sistema di chiusura cosi che, terminato l'orario di lavoro, il pescivendolo monta la guardia alla sua mercanzia dormendo su una seggiola a pochi passi.
